CCFC is an urban church that strives to honor God by living as a body of Christ in Cambridge by loving God, His Church, and our community.
Sunday Services | 9 AM and 1:30 PM Cambridge Community Fellowship Church (CCFC) has drawn from many of the colleges and universities in the area as well families, couples and youth from Cambridge/Boston neighborhoods. From its inception in 1996, CCFC has sought to live out the values of Scripture, Worship & Prayer, Community, Witness, Racial Reconciliation, Social Justice & Urban Missions, and World Missions. The Central Square neighborhood was chosen for its many opportunities to reach the urban community of Cambridge. The purpose of CCFC is to live as the Body of Christ and it's implication of incarnation, service, outreach, justice, and compassion in the city of Cambridge, MA. CCFC is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). It is especially known for its values of relationships, church planting, multi-racial ministry, and dialogue over debate. We've come a long way since the days we barely had enough kids for one elementary age class. This fall we are very excited to offer two classes for the first time, one for grades 1-2 and another for 3-5. And we couldn't do it without the dedication and heart of this super team who is leading the elementary classes every week. Please keep them in your prayers as they build relationships with kids and help them grow in their walk with Jesus. (Not pictured but on the team: John B. and Jane H.) Also much thanks to Laura Mitchell, our Children's Ministry Director, for her commitment to CCFC kids and families and everything she has done in the last 5 (!!!) years to get us to this exciting milestone!
Tomorrow! Our annual farm in the city day for kids and families with the cutest baby farm animals, fall treats, and kids activities. Come hang out with other CCFC families or invite your friends with kids. Event is from 10 am to noon at Dana Park near Central Square. Sponsored by our Family Ministry Committee.
Our week of Vacation Bible School: Shipwrecked is sadly coming to a close. It's been a fun and meaningful week of learning all the ways Jesus rescues us when we're lonely, worried, and are struggling. Today we heard the best story of all--how Jesus rescued us from the wrong things we've done by dying on the cross for us. โHere on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.โ (John 16:33) Sooooo much thanks to the incredible team of volunteers coming out every night to make this happen, and to VBS coordinators Jane, Sierra, and Taylor for keeping this ship (heh heh) afloat!
Did you know that we have a team in Mexico this week? Please keep them in your prayers as they work alongside our partner Mosaico Urbano / Urban Mosaic, and CCFC missionaries Albert and Emily. Stay tuned for their trip update on a Sunday service in August. ๐ท: @tamanahaha
Quick reminder that there are no services in Cambridge today. We encourage you to check out another church in the area. See you next Sunday at 9 am (no PM service in July). http://www.ccfc-church.org/content/no-worship-services-cambridge-sunday-july-15
Don't forget! No PM service tomorrow, and for the rest of July. Also no AM or PM service on July 15--we'll be at the summer retreat in New Hampshire. By the way, tomorrow (July 1) is the last day to sign up! We'd love to see you there -- sign up at ccfc-church.org/summerretreat.
Are you coming to our annual summer retreat in 3 weeks? If so, today's your last day to save $20 on the registration rate! Signing up now also helps secure your spot on the bus (only 18 seats left), enables us to make special accommodations, and helps us plan for childcare. Register for the retreat and learn more at www.ccfc-church.org/summerretreat. Scholarships are available. The summer retreat is one of the rare opportunities in the year to meet people from the whole church body and go deeper in relationship like never before. Come take a step toward being a part of the impossible community! Plus, you'll have time and space to connect with God, get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, be immersed in nature, and enjoy some amazing outdoor activities. Hope to see you there!
Don't forget--our annual summer picnic is today! 11 am to 1 pm at Dana Park (5-8 min walk from church). Don't miss out on fried chicken and fellowship. Plus the weather should be great. More info at ccfc-church.org/summerpicnic. See you there!
